Toby Fleishman is a 41-year-old hepatologist in New York City who is going through a divorce. His soon-to-be ex-wife Rachel has disappeared, leaving him with responsibility for their two children, Hannah and Solly. While doing his work at the hospital, Toby becomes involved in a series of fast-paced sexual encounters obtained through dating apps. Meanwhile, he reflects on the best and worst moments of his shattered marriage and tries to find meaning in his life.
