In Crete, Leo Vardakis, one of twin heirs to a wealthy family, dies in an apparent accident while climbing. However, Penelope (Shailene Woodley), his sister-in-law, suspects murder and hires Detective Nick Bali to investigate a case that the police have already closed. The investigation will uncover a dark episode from Bali’s past that had prompted him to leave the NYPD.
