Dacia Maraini momentarily leaves her role as a writer to switch to directing. The film is based on a work by Alberto Moravia and tells the story of a married couple living in Bagheria, Sicily. The two take care of a citrus grove, their only source of income, while the husband, a former journalist, is busy writing a novel.
