During “The Beautiful Summer” two different girls seek each other out, challenge each other, lose each other, and recognize each other. Ginia (Virginia Magnelli), younger and naive, finds her identity in a painful confrontation with Amelia (Marta Zoboli), a model of charm and decadence.
In the fourth minute, Marta Zoboli applies makeup in the mirror wearing a semi-transparent bodice that allows a glimpse of her breasts. In the tenth minute we find Marta Zoboli naked and lying on a sofa while a painter portrays her. The room is filled with lit candles to create an atmosphere. When another girl enters the room, Marta gets up from the couch and covers herself. A moment later we see Virginia Magnelli undress in front of the painter, then cover herself with a blanket. Soon after, the painter removes the blanket and we can see Virginia Magnelli naked. A minute later Virginia is topless in front of the mirror and looks at her breasts smugly.
