At the end of the 1980s, several TV movies were made but, for various reasons, were never broadcast. The films in the Alta tensione series were broadcast ten years after they were made, while another series of four films, called Le case maledette and made in 1989, was released directly on VHS in 1999. The four films were made by two masters of Italian cinema: Umberto Lenzi and Lucio Fulci. In La casa nel tempo (AKA The House of Clocks), a gang of thugs rob an elderly couple, but the husband’s collection of antique clocks inexplicably turns back time. The criminals thus become the prey, while the two elderly people reveal themselves to be a vengeful and disturbing presence.
