We’ll try to be concise. In the early 1970s director Jesús Franco made this film in Portugal, under the title La nuit des étoiles filantes. The distribution changed the title to Une vierge chez les morts vivants, to make the erotic and horror aspects of the film evident, two genres that were of great interest in those years. No one wanted to buy the film and the producers changed the title again – Christina, la princesse de l’erotisme – and inserted erotic sequences shot by Pierre Quérut. A decade later, following the success of George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, Franco’s film was redistributed with some zombie scenes shot by Jean Rollins. In the early 2000s, the original version by Jesús Franco was re-released for a DVD release of the film. The international title for this release is A Virgin Among the Living Dead.
Christina (Christina von Blanc) is a young orphan who goes to the family castle for an inheritance reading. Her father has died by suicide and she meets the rest of her family for the first time. According to the villagers, the castle is uninhabited, but she finds plenty of people. The girl inherits the castle and asks relatives to stay with her, but soon falls into a vortex of concentric dreams that make her risk madness.
Six minutes in, Christina von Blanc walks around the castle wearing a pair of see-through panties. Eleven minutes later, the camera passes over Christina von Blanc naked, lying in bed. Eight minutes later, the actress undresses by the lake, spied on by a pair of men. After bathing, the actress returns to the castle and behind a closed door finds Linda Hastreiter and Britt Nichols (real name is Carmen Yazalde) doing things somewhere between lesbian and horror. Nine minutes later, Christina von Blanc is naked in bed, and Britt Nichols is sitting across from her. Britt is half-naked and talking while smoking a cigarette.
In this film, Christina is often naked in bed. In fact, we find her in bed nine minutes later. The girl gets up and walks to a large black dildo placed on the floor. Near the end of the film, Anne Libert and Christina von Blanc, both naked, perform a satanic ritual.
