McVicar is a film based on the true story of John McVicar, a criminal arrested for robbery, who manages to break out of prison and begin an honest life with his family. To re-establish himself in society the man attempts a new robbery and is arrested a second time. In prison, John studies and graduates and when he is released he becomes a journalist and broadcaster.
