In the 1970s on the Isle of Wight, Holly (Michelle Williams) and Marina (Anna Friel) make a pact of friendship to stay together forever. While Marina faces a turbulent life with divorced parents and drug problems, Holly remains her only point of reference. As their friendship evolves through sex, love, loss, and rock and roll, Holly realizes that for her this relationship is a burden rather than a support.
In the sixth minute there is a scene for celebrity foot lovers. Anna Friel and Michelle Williams smoke a cigarette that Anna holds between her toes, wrapped in fishnet stockings. Soon after, the two girls are floating in the pool on two airbeds. Michelle is wearing a wet black shirt and hard nipples are visible; Anna is wearing a bikini. Trudie Styler in a bikini talks to them from the edge of the pool. Five minutes later Anna and Michelle are both naked in the bathtub, facing each other. Twenty-four minutes later Anna Friel performs a sexy dance for a guy. He appreciates and kisses her. In the next scene we find Anna Friel naked in bed with the guy. Thirteen minutes later topless Michelle Williams sits on the bed, then wears a tight white shirt. Twenty-two minutes later a guy lifts the covers and underneath is Michelle Williams naked, with seaweed pasties covering her nipples and other body parts. He kisses her belly. Four minutes later there is a short scene with Marianne Denicourt naked in the bathtub.
