In Le jour et la nuit (AKA Day and Night), Alexandre, a declining French writer, lives in isolation in Mexico with his young wife and his housekeeper. His life is disrupted by the arrival of an ambitious actress and her filmmaker boyfriend, who seek to involve him in a film project. The meeting will bring tension and conflict, revealing secrets and repressed desires.
