Using archive footage from his earlier film Femmine infernali, director Edoardo Mulargia makes a very similar film entitled Orinoco – Prigioniere del sesso. The plot also resembles the sister film, as it resembles the plots of the many WIP (Women in Prison) genre films of the period. A group of comely damsels are locked in prisons and used as sex slaves and in emerald mining. A band of adventurers rush to their aid.
