On a remote island in Brittany in the late 18th century, a painter (Noémie Merlant) must paint the wedding portrait of a French countess (Adèle Haenel). A great attraction arises between the two women.
In the seventh minute, naked Noémie Merlant is kneeling in front of a wooden crate and opening it. Shortly afterwards she lights her pipe and smokes it while sitting in front of the fireplace, still naked. Forty-six minutes later Noémie rolls back into bed with her nightie up and shows us the bush. Twenty-eight minutes later Adèle Haenel and Noémie Merlant kiss passionately, then the director shows them naked in a bed, awakened after a night of sex and sleep. Seven minutes later we find the two actresses naked again, lying in bed, chatting.
