The Abramovic Method (2013)

The Abramović Method Practiced by Lady Gaga is a short video from 2013 in which Lady Gaga participates in an intensive session with renowned performance artist Marina Abramović. The clip shows Gaga performing breathing, meditation, concentration, and body awareness exercises according to the “Abramović Method,” a set of practices designed to increase the artist’s mental and physical presence. The singer performs these exercises totally naked, inside a wooden structure or in the middle of nature. The video has provoked mixed reactions, with some interpreting it as a sincere artistic experiment and others seeing it as bizarre or self-deprecating. It remains a curious example of the intersection between conceptual art and pop culture.
