Pigen med nålen (AKA The Girl with the Needle) takes place in Copenhagen in 1919. A young unemployed and pregnant factory worker (Vic Carmen Sonne) meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), who runs an underground adoption agency. A strong bond develops between them, but everything falls apart when she discovers the shocking truth about her work.
In the thirty-sixth minute Vic Carmen Sonne walks into a Turkish bath filled with naked actresses, before dropping her towel and plunging naked into a tub. She pricks herself with a needle and nearly drowns, until totally naked Trine Dyrholm grabs her and helps her out of the tub. At the sixty-seventh minute Trine Dyrholm stands naked and spills a bucket of water over her head. In the 90th minute Vic Carmen Sonne lifts up her shirt and feels her boobs.
