La Maldición de la Bestia (AKA Night of the Howling Beast AKA The Werewolf and the Yeti) is the eighth chapter in the saga dedicated to Waldemar Daninsky and represents another complete reinvention of the origins of the werewolf, following the rewriting seen in El Retorno de Walpurgis. The film mixes Tibetan folklore, yetis, and wild creatures, offering one of the most adventurous and bloody variations in the series starring Paul Naschy. Waldemar Daninsky leaves for Tibet on a scientific expedition in search of evidence of the Yeti’s existence, but ends up encountering two female werewolves who condemn him to the curse of the wolf. As the expedition falls into the hands of a group of local bandits, Waldemar must fight to survive and control his beastly nature. In the climax, the werewolf faces both the leader of the marauders and a giant snow creature in a confrontation that will decide everyone’s fate.
