After Mimì metallurgico ferito nell’onore and Film d’amore e d’anarchia, director Lina Wertmüller brings the duo Giancarlo Giannini and Mariangela Melato back to the screen for one of the most famous films of her career: Travolti da un insolito destino nell’azzurro mare d’agosto. The rich wife of an industrialist and the poor cabin boy on his sailboat end up on a deserted island after a shipwreck. Before long, the roles are reversed, and the snooty rich woman soon submits to the gruff boor, who is able to survive without the comforts of wealthy life.
In the seventh minute three actresses sunbathe on the deck of the sailboat. One is Mariangela Melato, her back turned. Another is Anna Melita, covering her breasts with her hands, but we can see it clearly when she moves her arms.
