Confessions of a Young American Housewife takes place in the early 1970s, and sexual mores have changed greatly since the previous decade. An uninhibited couple is about to invite her mother home, and the great fear is that the woman will not accept certain mental openings of swapping couples and orgies. Carole (Rebecca Brooke AKA Mary Mendum) is telling her friend Anna (Chris Jordan) that her mother (Jennifer Welles) is coming to visit soon.
