When Paolo and Francesca meet, it’s an immediate attraction. Weird attraction, in some ways sick. A love relationship that the two sublimate in food and sex. La Carne is one of the minor films of the great Italian director Marco Ferreri. Maybe too repetitive, maybe with some avoidable characters, but it certainly has the merit of celebrating the divine Francesca Dellera, undoubtedly one of the Italian divas of the last century.
