A retired math professor spends his days writing. One day the man finds an injured, homeless, forgetful young girl (Virginie Legeay) on the building steps. The man takes her in and cares for her. Day after day he begins to suspect that she is the reincarnation of his late wife.
There is only one nude scene, in the 68th minute of the film. Virginie Legeay is lying naked on a bed. Suddenly Anne Berry appears beside her naked, kissing and hugging her, then hiding her under a black cloak.
