La matriarca (AKA The Libertine) is a 1968 film directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. After her husband’s funeral, the young widow Margherita (Catherine Spaak) learns of a bachelor flat in her husband’s name. Shocked by the revelation that her husband was an unrepentant womanizer, Margherita decides to take revenge and beat him at his own game by sleeping with several men. One of them, a doctor, falls in love with her.
After the funeral, Catherine Spaak takes a shower. We don’t see much behind the frosted glass, but the scene is very sexy. Later, she is in her husband’s garçonnière watching erotic films starring Fabienne Dali. In the next scene, Catherine Spaak gives us a first, fleeting nude. Another quick nude comes five minutes later when the actress imagines being whipped by a tennis player. Ten minutes later, Fabienne Dali runs completely naked into her bedroom, then gets under the covers. Two minutes later, Catherine Spaak has sex with a man, lying on the floor. Three minutes later, the actress gets aroused by having a beetle walk on her breasts.
Edda Ferronao is the third nude actress in the film. A man approaches her with a water hose and wets her completely. She wears only an apron, with nothing underneath. Immediately afterward, Catherine Spaak sunbathes naked on the terrace. After three minutes, the actress is lying on a table, naked and tied up, while Silvana Bacci tortures her in role-play. Immediately afterward, we find Catherine Spaak naked while doing medical examinations.
The film is very rich in nude scenes, some very short, some long, all interesting. Sixteen minutes into the last one, Catherine Spaak strips completely naked and enters the bed with a man. The story immediately moves to the next day and the two actors are traveling in a car. Catherine also undresses here, throwing her clothes out the window. Eleven minutes later, the last hot scene. Catherine Spaak undresses, then rides her partner like a horse.
