The Marquis of Altuna, a Spanish womanizer, meets a French couple on vacation. The couple consists of the beautiful Emmanuelle (Muriel Montossé) and her husband Andrés. She loves him, but cheats on him repeatedly, leading to their separation. After a year of unsatisfying adventures for both of them, including meetings with the Marquis, the couple reunites, while the Marquis continues his life as a seducer. The title of the film (Las orgías inconfesables de Emmanuelle) is a commercial choice by the producer, to hook onto the famous character born from the pen of Emmanuelle Arsan. The name of the main character was also chosen by the producer. Initially she was to be named Ann Marie.
