Non contate su di noi (Don’t Count on Us) is one of many Italian films from the 1970s that tackle drug addiction. Director and star Sergio Nuti, with an almost documentary-like approach, follows street guys whose lives revolve around heroin, allowing himself to be swept up in the protagonists’ daily drift. When Sergio falls in love with a girl (Francesca Ferrari), he follows her into her self-destructive spiral. An authentic work, deliberately bare and repetitive, which recounts without filters the slow erasure of dreams and identity.
At the eighth minute, Francesca Ferrari undresses and goes to take a shower. A man joins her under the water and the two begin to kiss. The scene moves to the bed, where they have sex. Afterwards, the couple stays in bed chatting until the naked actress gets up and gets dressed. At the fifteenth minute, the man is sitting on the toilet smoking a cigarette. Francesca Ferrari, totally naked, enters the bathroom with him, asks him for a puff of his cigarette, then combs her hair in front of the mirror. Four minutes later, they are both lying on the bed. Francesca is wearing jeans and is topless. We see the actress topless again at the 30-minute mark, when she comes out of the bathroom and talks to the man, who is getting dressed. Two other men enter the room and start talking to them. At the 40-minute mark, a man is lying on the bed, sleeping on his side. Behind him appears Francesca Ferrari, who strips totally naked, gets into bed, and climbs on top of him to fuck.
