Le monache di Sant’Arcangelo is a film inspired by real events. It’s said that towards the end of 1500 the cloistered nuns of the convent of Sant’Arcangelo in Bajano, Naples, devoted themselves to facts of lust and sex, having sexual relations with each other and with some Neapolitan nobles. The convent was closed in 1577, some nuns were punished and others were transferred.
The film can be categorized in the nunsploitation genre, but the mischievous aspects are less than we expected. More prominence is given to the plot and the sex scenes are few. Claudia Gravy gives us some very interesting nudes and we are very excited by a lesbian-fetish sequence with Anne Heywood and Martine Brochard.
