After the success of the first seven films from the Emmanuelle series, the franchise continues on TV. In the early 90s, producer Alain Siritzky bought the rights to the character and made seven films for French television, directed by Francis Leroi and starring Sylvia Kristel, George Lazenby, and Marcela Walerstein.
Sylvia Kristel plays Emmanuelle for the last time.
Éternelle Emmanuelle
The first film allows us to understand what is happening. The original Emmanuelle, played by Sylvia Kristel, is traveling by plane. During the flight, the woman meets Mario, her old friend and life coach, to whom she tells an incredible story. After the tragic death of her daughter, Emmanuelle retreats to a Tibetan monastery to rediscover herself. Monks gave her the secret of immortality in the form of a magical perfume that allowed her to enter the minds and bodies of other women. The magic potion can also rejuvenate her physical body, and so we witness the torch passing from Sylvia Kristel to yet another new Emmanuelle: Marcela Walerstein.
L’amour d’Emmanuelle
During a journey on the Transasiatic train, Emmanuelle finds herself embroiled in a sex scandal. With the help of her enchanted perfume and faithful companion Athisan Khan, she manages to thwart a conspiracy and reconcile a couple on the brink of separation.
Magique Emmanuelle
Emmanuelle embarks on a journey across Africa with two young sisters to attend a mutual friend’s wedding. During this exotic travel, she guides the girls toward female maturity, teaching them the secrets of passion and desire. To reach their final destination, the three women seduce a pilot who takes them to the wedding venue.
Le parfum d’Emmanuelle
Sam, a promising writer, is going through a creative crisis. Emmanuelle travels to Bali with her faithful Athisan Khan to help him. Thanks to her magical perfume, she awakens Sam’s imagination, making him write again. During her stay, Emmanuelle also finds time for flirting with Sam’s girlfriend.
La revanche d’Emmanuelle
Shalomey, a beautiful model, is fired by a New York producer after rejecting his advances. Determined to get revenge, she asks Emmanuelle for help. Together, they orchestrate a plan that leads to the producer’s downfall. Shalomey can resume her career in the fashion world, while Emmanuelle prepares for new adventures.
Emmanuelle à Venise
Anais, a young widow, lives a sad existence under the control of her authoritarian mother-in-law. To escape the monotony, she begins a secret relationship with the maid. When this adventure also bores her, she calls her friend Emmanuelle to Venice. Thanks to her magical perfume, Emmanuelle manages to restore Anais’s confidence, and she finds love again with a new man.
Le secret d’Emmanuelle
Emmanuelle is in a hospital bed. She has lost her memory, which resurfaces through some flashbacks. This is a pretext to present sequences from the previous six films and create a seventh, final chapter of the saga. Only a few short sequences are unreleased.
